Maranatha - The lord is coming: September 9th

📖 “They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.” (Jeremiah 6:14)

Prophecy warns us that just before the coming of Christ, the world will unite under a false banner of peace. Papists, Protestants, and secular voices alike will see this as the dawn of a global movement — a counterfeit millennium of prosperity and unity. But God’s Word says otherwise: while men proclaim peace and safety, sudden destruction will come upon the world, and none who reject His truth will escape.

Just as the inhabitants of Sodom laughed off the warnings of judgment on the very night destruction fell, so too will multitudes today mock the message of God’s mercy. They will feast, marry, build, and mock, thinking nothing of the storm on the horizon. But the Day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night. Earth’s works will melt with fervent heat, and the door of mercy will close forever to those who despise God’s call. He will not always be mocked; the hour of His fierce anger will surely come.

Yet for the faithful, there is safety. While the world mocks, those who cling to Christ will “abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” His truth will be their shield and buckler. The multitudes may cry “peace and safety,” but Heaven cries “Escape for your life!” The only question is: whose voice will you listen to when the false peace of the world collides with the fiery reality of God’s judgment?
