Maranatha - The lord is coming: September 3rd
📖 “Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel: and because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel.” (Amos 4:12) The call of Amos rings with urgency: prepare to meet thy God. This is not a casual suggestion, but a life-or-death command for those who will live through the time of trouble. When Christ finishes His intercession in the heavenly sanctuary, God’s people must stand in His sight without a mediator. Only those who reflect the image of Jesus fully will receive the seal of God and be shielded when the final storm breaks.
Now is the time for cleansing. While the investigative judgment continues in heaven, God’s people are called to put away sin on earth. Through grace and diligence, they must become conquerors in the battle with evil. Yet many are neglecting this preparation, presuming that the latter rain or final refreshing will make them ready at the last moment. But in the time of trouble, those without shelter will discover too late that they had no root in Christ.
Victory over pride, selfishness, worldliness, and every wrong word or action must be won now. God is holy, and only holy people will dwell in His presence. The work of preparation cannot be postponed. Today is the time to be hewed, squared, and refined by God’s Word so that we may stand in the day of the Lord. The question is not will you meet Him — but will you be ready when you do?
