Maranatha - The lord is coming: September 11th
📖 “Hear, all ye people; hearken, O earth, and all that therein is: and let the Lord God be witness against you, the Lord from his holy temple. For, behold, the Lord cometh forth out of his place, and will come down, and tread upon the high places of the earth.” (Micah 1:2, 3)
In the last crisis of earth’s history, character will be revealed. The final test comes at the close of probation, when it will be too late to prepare. For centuries, nations and individuals have been piling up rebellion against heaven, but God keeps a record. When iniquity reaches its limit and men unite in making void His law, divine patience will cease, and judgment unmixed with mercy will fall. Then the world will see what a fearful thing it is to exhaust God’s forbearance.
Yet this is also the moment when God’s people will be most fervent in prayer. As evil increases and opposition rises, the faithful remnant will cry out day and night, and God will hear. Satan and his agents cannot triumph, for heaven will intervene. Just as Christ promised to “avenge His own elect,” God will rise up to defend His people at the very hour when danger is greatest. His power alone can stay the arrogance of the enemy, and His deliverance will come right on time.
The substitution of false worship for true worship will be the last act in the drama. When men exalt human laws above God’s commandments and enforce Sunday in place of His holy Sabbath, the limit will be reached. Then the Lord will reveal Himself in majesty, shaking the earth, punishing iniquity, and avenging His people. God’s intervention is not just prophecy — it is certainty. The question is: will you be among those preserved when He rises to defend His own?
