Maranatha - The lord is coming: May 26th

Today’s devotional exposes a dangerous trend in the modern church—confusing fanaticism for faith and chaos for charisma. Ellen White warns that some spiritual “gifts” making noise in churches today—especially unbiblical tongues and emotional outbursts—are not from the Holy Spirit but a counterfeit powered by the great deceiver.

The Bible says clearly: “God is not the author of confusion, but of peace.” (1 Corinthians 14:33) But some have embraced disorder, unmeaning gibberish, and spiritual theatrics as though they were sacred. These are not the fruits of a sanctified life—they’re evidence of a reckless, undisciplined spirit that refuses to be guided by Scripture or seasoned spiritual counsel.

True revival brings clarity, order, and character transformation. It produces reverence, self-control, and the fruit of holiness. If your experience in church looks wild but leaves you unchanged, you’ve met a counterfeit. God’s truth doesn’t stir up chaos—it elevates, sanctifies, and prepares you for Heaven. Don’t settle for noise when you’ve been called to bear fruit.
