“What are these wounds in thine hands? … Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.” — Zechariah 13:6

When the fire of God purifies the earth and every trace of sin is swept away, one reminder alone remains. In the new heaven and the new earth, our Redeemer still bears the marks of Calvary—on His head, His hands, His feet, and His side. These are not symbols of defeat, but of victory. The wounds of Jesus are the only lasting record of sin’s terrible cost and God’s immeasurable love. ✨✝️

The prophet beholds Christ in glory and sees light streaming from His wounded side—“there was the hiding of His power.” That pierced side, from which flowed the blood that reconciled humanity to God, is heaven’s highest testimony. What the world meant for shame, God transformed into honor. The tokens of Christ’s humiliation are His greatest glory, declaring through eternal ages the power of self-sacrificing love. 🌅💖

Throughout eternity, the cross will be the science and the song of the redeemed. Never forgotten will be the truth that the Creator of all worlds humbled Himself to save fallen humanity. As the nations of the saved gaze upon their Redeemer and behold the Father’s glory shining from His countenance, heaven erupts in praise: “Worthy, worthy is the Lamb that was slain.” The scars remain—not as a memory of pain, but as the everlasting proof that love conquered all. 👑🎶
