August 7 - 🌿 Be Ye Perfect? Yes—In Christ, You Can Be! 🔥
“Be ye therefore perfect…” (Matthew 5:48) — At first glance, this command seems impossible. But today’s devotional unpacks the deeper meaning of perfection in the human sphere. Christian walks us through the hopeful truth that God is not calling us to divine perfection, but to faithful surrender. Just as God is perfect in His sphere, He calls us to be complete in ours—by His strength, not our own.
True character transformation doesn’t come by magic or passivity. It comes through intentional, daily surrender to Christ. We fail, we fall, but we get back up and press in closer to Jesus—again and again. And with every trial faced in faith, every sin resisted in His strength, the seal of heaven is more deeply impressed upon our souls. Like wax bearing the image of its seal, we’re being shaped into His likeness.
