Maranatha - The lord is coming: August 31st
📖 “Some men’s sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some men they follow after.” (1 Timothy 5:24)
Before Jesus returns, heaven is engaged in a solemn work — the investigative judgment. Every case is examined, every life is reviewed in light of God’s Word. This is not a mystery reserved for theologians but a reality that reminds us of the seriousness of salvation. When the judgment closes, Christ will come again, and His reward will be with Him. Our destiny is sealed not at death, but in this heavenly court where the records of life are opened.
Just as the high priest in Israel confessed the sins of the people over the scapegoat, Christ will one day place the sins of His people upon Satan, the originator of evil. The enemy of souls will bear the weight of the rebellion he inspired, confined for a thousand years, and finally destroyed in the fires of the second death. Sin will have an end — and so will sorrow. But until then, Christ intercedes as our Mediator, working to blot out the sins of all who confess and repent.
Now is the time for cleansing. While Jesus removes sin from the heavenly sanctuary, His people are called to purify their lives here on earth. Few will be saved compared to the masses who reject the truth, but those who surrender and endure will receive eternal life. The investigative judgment is not meant to terrify, but to awaken us: today is the day to repent, to obey, and to cling to Christ who alone can finish the work in us.
