Maranatha - The lord is coming: August 28th
📖 “I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.” (Daniel 7:13)
After His ascension, Jesus began His work as our High Priest, interceding for repentant believers before the Father. For centuries He ministered in the first apartment of the heavenly sanctuary, securing pardon and acceptance. Yet, just as the earthly sanctuary service required a final atonement to cleanse away sin, so Christ now performs the closing work in the Most Holy Place — the cleansing of the sanctuary. This solemn ministry began when the 2300-day prophecy ended, marking the start of His last phase of intercession.
The Bible connects this cleansing in Daniel 8:14 with Daniel’s vision of the Son of Man before the Ancient of Days, Malachi’s prophecy of the Lord coming to His temple, and Christ’s parable of the bridegroom in Matthew 25. All point to the same event: the investigative judgment — a heavenly work of review before Jesus returns. When He comes again, His reward will already be determined, given to every person according to their works.
In that final reckoning, rank, wealth, or position will not change the verdict. God looks at purity, sincerity, and love for Christ. This truth calls us to live in readiness, to confess and forsake sin, and to trust in our Mediator’s work. The cleansing of the sanctuary is not just a doctrine — it’s a call to holiness, surrender, and preparation for eternity. Will you let Christ’s final work in heaven be reflected in your life on earth?
