Maranatha - The lord is coming: October 2nd

📖 “The day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.” (2 Peter 3:10)

The Bible paints a sobering picture of the last great day: fire from heaven will mingle with fire from the earth. Mountains will erupt like furnaces, rivers will boil, and the ground itself will heave under violent earthquakes. Cities, wealth, and every work of man will be swept away in a single moment. What humanity built in pride will vanish when the Lord arises in judgment.

Yet this fiery destruction is not without hope. Just as Noah was preserved in the ark, God has promised to be a refuge for His people. “No evil shall befall thee… for in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion” (Psalm 91:9–10; Psalm 27:5). While the world melts in fervent heat, those who have made the Lord their habitation will find safety in His presence.

Now is the time to prepare — not by clinging to earthly possessions, but by laying hold of the eternal mansions Christ has prepared. This world will pass away, but those who rest in Jesus will enter a kingdom that cannot be shaken. Are you building your life on things that last forever?
